VERSE
Psalm 84:5-6
What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs.
PRAYER
Lord, we come to You in a testing time —
a ‘Valley of Weeping’ for many who are trying to keep businesses afloat,
those who have lost jobs, or friends,
the ones are seeing patients and loved ones fighting for their lives
or enduring isolation at home with no end in sight.Lead us not into the temptation to judge and to blame.
Forgive us for thoughts which may have blamed You,
while ignoring the unseen spiritual battle behind the crisis.Deliver us from this evil.
Bring Your kingdom rule to bear.May we all find “refreshing springs”
in a new place of knowing You,
and find strength from having an inner joy
from a renewed relationship of journeying through life with You.In the name of the One who made it possible,
Jesus Christ.
Amen.
