Living hope in Jesus cancels all other uncertainty

Verse

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. — 1 Peter 1:3 NIV

Summary

The resurrection of Jesus is important — He is alive, and we can know Him like anyone else who is alive. That is the difference between a religion, with its ordered form to learn and example to follow, and a relationship, where we know someone so well we grow like them, and receive their assurance.

Prayer

This may be the most significant prayer you have every prayed!

Dear Lord Jesus,

I believe You are real. I can see now that You love me. I know I’m not perfect and I have made some mistakes, but I ask for Your forgiveness.

I believe that You took my place and gave Your life for me. And that You rose from the dead.

I want to stop living my way and invite You into my life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and as my Saviour. From now on my life is Yours and I want to live for you.
